Selected cardiac biomarkers in newborns with perinatal asphyxia symptoms

چکیده
Perinatal hypoxia is one of the more common complications early adaptation period. This condition defined as a disorder tissue oxygenation during labour and responsible for approximately 23% neonatal mortality. can cause injury failure many organs, including brain, heart kidneys, mainly in mechanism ischaemic-reperfusion injury. Currently, biochemical markers are frequently incorporated diagnostics. Routinely used adult patients, these organ-specific chemicals enable diagnosis with high sensitivity specificity. The manuscript presents review research on use cardiac (N-terminal fragment pro-B-type natriuretic peptide, troponins I T, creatine kinase isoenzyme) selected diseases. Still, no cutoff values have been established any described this paper. Therefore, routine population, further studies needed to determine range factors that may their fluctuation.

Seizure-associated brain injury in term newborns with perinatal asphyxia.
BACKGROUND There is controversy over whether seizures, the most common manifestation of neonatal brain injury, may themselves damage the developing brain. OBJECTIVE To determine if neonatal seizures are independently associated with brain injury in newborns with perinatal asphyxia. METHODS Ninety term neonates were studied with MRI and single-voxel (1)H-MRS on median day of life 6 (range 1 ...
متن کاملCardiac Function in Perinatal Asphyxia
At present no clear-cut physiologic/serological parameter exist which enable an early identification of neonates who are at increased risk to develop myocardial dysfunction in perinatal asphyxia. This study was conducted to find out the incidence and features of cardiac dysfunction in perinatal asphyxia The present study was carried out on 48 neonates ,17 healthy neonates were taken as controls...
متن کاملPlasma Ammonia Levels in Newborns with Asphyxia.
OBJECTIVE Perinatal asphyxia may result in hypoxic damage in various body organs, especially in the central nervous system. It could induce cascade of biochemical events leading to the cell death and metabolic changes, eventually may increase plasma ammonia levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of hyperammonemia in neonates with asphyxia and to find the relationship ...

متن کاملChromosomal aberrations in Perinatal Asphyxia
This study was conducted to evaluate the level of chromosomal damage in perinatal asphyxia and correlate it with severity of asphyxia. Fourty term neonates with asphyxia and twenty term babies without asphyxia were included in this case control study. Blood samples were collected within 24 hours of birth for karyotyping and oxidative stress by serum malondealdehyde (MDA) estimation. The degree ...
